Foreign Residents in Chile: - Those who have obtained a Chilean ID due to residency or employment must also obtain a Chilean driver’s license. This applies to both temporary and permanent workers who are not in the country as tourists.

Rates Include

Time and Mileage (TKM): Covers both the duration of the rental and the distance traveled by the vehicle. All our vehicles come with unlimited mileage, with no restrictions on kilometers during the rental period. Courtesy Hour (with prior authorization): An additional 1-hour grace period is provided at no cost upon return, counted from the agreed return time. If you need to extend usage beyond this, please notify us in advance at contacto@lokicars.cl. Preferred Customers enjoy up to 2 hours of courtesy time, with prior coordination with the Loki Rent a Car Puerto Montt team. Collision and Theft Damage Waiver (CDW): Covers incidents with protection up to 500 UF. - If a third party is identified, the maximum deductible is 21.71 UF + VAT. - If no third party is identified, the deductible is 30 UF + VAT. - In the case of theft or total loss, the deductible is 50 UF + VAT, increasing to 70 UF + VAT if the event occurs in Argentina. Third-Party Liability Coverage (DAT): Covers costs resulting from third-party damages in an accident, including up to 500 UF for actual damages, lost income, and moral damage. 24/7 Roadside Assistance: Support service for any incident during your journey, available throughout Chile with a maximum coverage of 12 UF. Accident Support: Includes coordination and support in case of a collision, from the moment of the incident through the claims process.

Tolls and Free Flow: Charges related to the use of urban and interurban highways are calculated based on actual usage during the rental. An administrative processing fee is also added. A detailed breakdown of these charges will be provided at vehicle return. Fuel Policy: Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned in the same condition. If returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged based on the average price per liter at the time of return, plus a 25% surcharge. This charge will be applied directly to the credit card on file. Drop-Off in Another City: An additional fee applies if the vehicle is returned in a different city from where the rental began. The fee depends on the distance between the two cities. You can request a quote through our website or support channels. Additional Driver: Adding another driver costs $1,000 CLP + VAT per person, per day. International Permit (Argentina): To cross into Argentina, you must pre-purchase an international permit. This must be arranged in advance and includes civil liability insurance valid in Argentina.

Drop-Off Charges

If you choose to return the vehicle in a different location from where it was picked up, an additional fee will apply. The cost of this service is calculated based on the distance between the two cities. Question 5

International Permit – Argentina

At Loki Rent a Car, we offer the option to rent vehicles authorized to enter Argentina. To obtain this permit, customers must request authorization at the time of booking by sending an email to contacto@lokicars.cl at least 7 days in advance. Required information for the process: - Full name of authorized drivers - National ID or passport number - Driver’s license number - Nationality - Estimated date of entry and exit from Argentina - Number of passengers - Copy of ID card or passport - Copy of valid driver’s license - Clearly state the reservation number The International Permit will be delivered to the customer when the vehicle is picked up at our offices. Important Conditions: - The permit is only valid for entry into Argentina and includes civil liability insurance for third-party damages. - Collision, theft, and burglary coverage do not apply outside of Chile. Any such incidents are the sole responsibility of the renter. - The permit authorizes a maximum of 2 drivers (main and additional driver). - The vehicle must be returned to Chile by the same authorized driver who took it abroad. - Argentine citizens may only cross the border with rental vehicles if they hold permanent residency in Chile. Important: Loki Rent a Car is not responsible for border crossing denials if the customer fails to meet the deadlines or requirements mentioned.

Terms and Conditions of the Guarantee for this Reservation

Guarantee and payment methods: To confirm any rental, a bank credit card is required as a guarantee. The amount held will depend on the vehicle model and rental duration. This amount will be blocked at the time of pickup and released within a maximum of 5 business days after the return, provided there are no outstanding charges. Use of credit card: If the renter does not have a credit card, another person's card may be used as long as that person is present at the time of vehicle pickup, explicitly agrees to the transaction, and signs the corresponding authorization. In this case, the rental responsibility remains with the contract holder (renter). Accepted cards: Only bank-issued credit cards are accepted. Store cards are not accepted, except for Visa/Mastercard CMR Falabella. Prepaid or virtual cards are excluded.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations made at least 7 days in advance If the reservation is canceled 7 days or more before the rental start date and time, 100% of the prepaid amount will be refunded, minus any payment gateway fees. Special conditions may apply during high season. Cancellations between 48 hours and 7 days Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before the rental start time are eligible for a 75% refund of the prepaid amount, minus processing fees. Special conditions may apply during high season. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice Reservations canceled less than 48 hours in advance are not eligible for a refund of the prepaid amount. No Show If the customer does not show up to pick up the vehicle at the agreed date and time, the prepaid amount will not be refunded. Failure to meet rental requirements at pickup No refund will be issued if the renter fails to meet basic requirements at pickup, such as: - Minimum required age - Presentation of ID or passport - Valid driver’s license - Available credit limit for the guarantee on a credit card Early return of the vehicle If the vehicle is returned before the scheduled return date, no refund will be made for unused rental days. Important: All refunds will be processed to the same credit card used for the initial payment.

Availability

Vehicle delivery is subject to availability based on the season and the selected branch at the time of booking. If the reserved model is not available on the agreed date and location, a vehicle of equal or higher category will be assigned at no additional cost to the customer.

Customer Responsibilities

When booking a rental service with Loki Rent a Car, the customer agrees to the following obligations: Responsible Driving: Use the vehicle with a valid driver’s license issued by the appropriate authority. Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances is strictly prohibited. All Chilean traffic laws must be followed at all times. Care and Proper Use of the Vehicle: The renter is responsible for maintaining the condition of the vehicle, including its tools, parts, and accessories. Any damage caused must be reimbursed by the customer. Liability in Case of Loss or Theft: If the vehicle is stolen, misused, or lost due to negligence or carelessness attributable to the customer, they must cover the full replacement cost. Personal Belongings Left in the Vehicle: The company is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings, valuables, or money left inside the vehicle, whether belonging to the renter or third parties. Border Crossings and Customs Requirements: If authorization is requested to travel to Argentina, the customer agrees to be informed about and comply with all current customs and legal requirements of both Chile and Argentina. This includes all mandatory documentation, insurance, and permits for foreign travel. Failure to comply will be the sole responsibility of the renter.

Prohibitions

The renter agrees not to use the vehicle under the following conditions, which constitute a serious breach of contract: Commercial Use or for Profit: Subleasing the vehicle or generating any kind of profit from its use without express authorization is prohibited. Violating this clause will result in a penalty of 5 UF per day that the infraction is detected. Leaving the Country Without Authorization: Taking the vehicle outside Chile without having obtained the required international permit in advance is not allowed. Unauthorized border crossings will be considered a breach of contract. Unauthorized Towing: Using the vehicle to tow trailers, caravans, or other items without prior approval from the company is strictly prohibited. Participation in Competitions: Using the vehicle in races, speed contests, endurance tests, or similar activities is not permitted. Transport of Prohibited Substances: It is strictly forbidden to transport hazardous materials, explosives, flammable substances, drugs, weapons, or any other dangerous items in the vehicle—even with legal permits. Driving by Unauthorized Persons: Only individuals listed in the rental agreement (main driver and any additional authorized drivers) are allowed to drive the vehicle. If another driver needs to be added, this must be requested and approved before the rental begins. Driving on Unsafe or Unauthorized Roads: Driving on roads, trails, or paths that are not approved for regular vehicles, or that pose a risk to the vehicle’s integrity, is prohibited. This includes poorly maintained terrain, extreme gravel roads, deep mud, dunes, snow without proper equipment, and areas not authorized for vehicular traffic.

Fines

Late Return: Returning the vehicle after the agreed date and time will result in a penalty for damages, equal to 5 UF for each day of delay. This charge applies from the first day of non-compliance, without prejudice to any legal action or additional compensation for greater damages. Traffic Fines: Any traffic law violation committed during the rental period is the sole responsibility of the customer. Fines will be charged directly to the credit card registered as a guarantee, even if the violation is reported after the vehicle has been returned. For corporate clients, these charges will be invoiced to the contracting company.

Question 12

In Case of Tire Damage

All our vehicles are delivered equipped with a spare tire and the necessary tools to perform a change in case of a flat or damage. However, the cost of repairing or replacing damaged tires is the sole responsibility of the renter, as this type of damage is not covered by the CDW policy (Collision and Theft Insurance). Customers are advised to check road conditions in advance and drive with caution to avoid such incidents.

Identity Verification

At the time of booking a rental service, Loki Rent a Car Puerto Montt will carry out identity verification of the renter, using available methods to ensure proper customer identification. This process is conducted in compliance with the company's Privacy and Data Protection Policy, and in accordance with current Chilean legislation, including: - Law No. 19.496 on the Protection of Consumer Rights - Law No. 19.628 on the Protection of Private Life - Law No. 20.575 establishing the Purpose Principle in the Processing of Personal Data General and Specific Conditions: The provisions outlined here are general in nature. However, Loki Rent a Car Puerto Montt reserves the right to establish special and additional conditions in the rental agreement, depending on the specific case.
